The Grand Budapest Hotel is a quirky and witty comedy set in Europe between World War I and World War II. The story involves a lobby boy who is befriended by a concierge who together go on an amazing adventure. The costume, makeup, set design, and cinematography are superb. The offbeat dialogue along with the peculiar characters in the film works well and helps add to the eccentricity. However, the storyline does feel stretched. At the end of the movie you come out of it thinking that the movie could have been put together slightly better.
