I went to see this movie a second time with people who hadn't seen it, and my second viewing was as enjoyable as the first. The story is amusing and rather sweet. The portrayal of Edward's family struggles and abdication, particularly the lines they gave him to speak expressing his indecision, were unconvincing. Firth's performance, on the other hand, shouldn't be missed (& Bonham-Carter's Queen Mum is a treat)
