One of the best psychological political thrillers directed by legendary director John Frankenheimer ever to be made."The Manchurian Candidate" explores the subject of brainwashing and mind control. The very underrated actor Frank Sinatra in probably his most memorable role and British heart throb Laurence Harvey as the protagonist. An absorbing film from start to finish it takes inside the minds of some very disturbed individuals. Angela Lansbury in probably her most prominent role of her long career is absolutely sinister. The first version is superior to the remake starring Denzel Washington in every way."The Manchurian Candidate" is storytelling at its best.
