    The Monuments Men

A big cast, but not a great effort. It's an interesting story line set during World War ll and was moderately enjoyable. Nothing wrong, but no real sizzle. Various attempts at humour throughout reminded of the original Dirty Dozen movie, but nowhere near as good. Clooney, Damon, Goodman and Murray just didn't compare to Lee Marvin, Charles Bronson, Donald Sutherland, Telly Savalas, etc. in the Dirty Dozen. The storyline and actors were there. Maybe they just needed better writers and a better screenplay.

It is difficult to re-write history of a true story!
