A wonderful movie personalizing the history of one particular woman and family in Austria and their suffering at the hands of the Nazis. Helen Mirren as always gives a heart felt portrayal of the main character as does the actor who played her lawyer. There were some illogical pieces such as how or why a young lawyer and his wife who had no income and barely begun a new job would have a nice house, car and two babies in a ridiculously expensive city like LA. That was really stupid but seems to be part of the usual movie industry's glossing over of reality that insists on depicting America the great. Ignore that part and enjoy this thoroughly engrossing film!
