Tomorrowland

Click here to show this review. Well, the movie had its entertaining moments but these were few and far between and severely offset by the awful script and acting. The main character was incredibly patronizing toward adults and, as you'd expect of such a character, also had serious authority issues. Unfortunately, Clooney's character, acting most of the time rather like an insecure teenage boy with a chip on his shoulder, did little to warrant not being patronized and led about by the nose. And the death scene at the end of the movie had a vaguely pedophilic quality. Add to these things the bald-faced preachiness of the movie, and the empty humanistic philosophy it espoused and the movie flops heavily. If Disney keeps producing stinkers like this one, it's going to put me off Disney films entirely. Anyway, I would not recommend this movie - even with its occasional entertaining moments.
