Just fresh from viewing this film for the first time. Well done. Excellent casting and plot. I read some reviews prior to viewing the movie; had I gone by those reviews I might not have seen it at the theatre but chose to give it a chance. Am pleased to have done so. In my observation it is not a movie for those who are resistant to using their brains in a cognitive manner; or for those who do not have an interest in the history and structure of the Roman Catholic Church/Empire. For me it solidifies the corruption of the spiritual reason for our being incarnated in the 3rd dimension. The pomp, the flaming egos, the riches, the Vatican military and the certainty that they, these mere men, are the only and true holders of the faith. They have nothing. Was raised in Roman Catholicism and had great faith until I discovered that the only ones who are served are the men. The movie depicts the extraordinary convoluted self-serving corrupted nature of this monster religion. God has no need of armies or wealth. God does not judge nor condemn and men are wrong to convince others that their machavelian plans are the Will of God. They serve themselves. The movie is executed very well and I enjoyed even whilst clearly understanding that God is within each and every one of us and does not require a man, or woman, to bring us into union with our resident Deity. Will need to view the movie several times in the future to appreciate all the fine details of its complexities. Am glad I did not go by the reviews of those who seek non-stop action without needing to think.
