    3:10 to Yuma

The 2007 western remake of the 1957 GlennFord/Van Heflin 3:10 to Yuma works infinitely better on several levels. First of all Russell Crowe as the outlaw is much more convincing than Heflin ever could be. Even Christian Bale seems to top Glenn Ford. The film is more sprawling in its colour cinematography and much more appealing than the black and white 1957 version! Rarely is a remake better than the original! From a fairly minor 1957 western, is reborn this 2007 edition delivering much more of a wallop!
