    A Christmas Carol

There is some very good news regarding this masterful account of Charles Dickens's immortal masterpiece. First off most believe that Alistair Sim, from 1951 is the definitive SCROOGE, and I must add he is a marvel. He truly embodies how any human, slowly but surely can degenerate to a point of putrefaction. My review at this time in February of 2015 stems from the fact that V C I has now released this holiday classic fully restored and remastered from " AN ORIGINAL NEGATIVE " found in England. Viewing this wonderful movie as if it were just filmed a few months ago adds so much pleasure as everything is so crisp and clean, the black and white cinematography very sharp and focused. If you haven't seen the film in awhile do so even though it isn't Christmas. The message of the film is always there and of most importance, you will see A Christmas Carol like you've never seen it before. Check out the digital remastering even if you want to wait till next Christmas.
