A riotous comedy from three time Oscar winning director Frank Capra. Even though this is one of his latter films (his second last), the piece has a story with a heart of gold with Frank Sinatra playing father to an eleven year old boy. Eleanor Parker and Carolyn Jones are just dandy as total opposites as far as females go. The film also provides us with a golden age view of Miami Beach. But what makes the film totally captivating are the performances of the 'splendiferous' Thelma Ritter & the incomparable Edward G. Robinson. They are riotous as caring members of Tony Manetta's family (namely Sinatra) Such a joyous film one can enjoy over and over again. A HUGE RECOMMENDATION.
