I admit, I’m a little sick of the original Annie story having seen the original movie, the re-make and countless live plays. This movie’s new fresh talent Q. Wallis as Annie, is amazing. She takes the character to a whole new charming level. She can dance, sing, and act. While the basic feel good story line continues, the script is twisted just enough to breathe life into an old classic. Jamie Fox as Stacks, Rose Byrne as Grace and Cameron Diaz as Hannigan all added the humour this storyline needed. I will definitely add this to my library of movies to watch when my spirits need uplifting.
