I wasn't too sure where they were going with this one during the first half. Bad choice of music for a drama, comedic moments that seemed out of place and Ben Affleck trying too hard to look cool. It painfully reminded me that he should stick to directing and retire as an actor unless it's to act in romantic comedies where he isn't too bad. I saw the hint of a smile on his face once and then nothing, no emotion whatsoever, a robot. The replicants in Blade Runner showed more emotion than he did! The second half was much better as the movie gained a sense of direction. The tension was palpable throughout. It was good overall but could have been excellent. I can only dream of what it would have been like if Matt would have replaced Ben and a certain Kathryn Bigelow would have directed it... Then perhaps it could be in the race for top honors at the Oscars.
