Around the World in Eighty Days

The best of the "Around the World" films to date all from 1956. This is simply the most extravagant but artful treatment of the Jules Verne novel. David Niven and Mexican Cantinflas are perfect as the two men who make this trip. The film is astounding in its magnificent, lavish settings and cinematography in the TODD-AO process. The 50 or more guest stars in cameo appearances make this a delight the whole family will love. It's shocking Michael Anderson did not get a Best Director Nomination especially as the feature won the 1956 Oscar as best film of 1956. It's the tops!
