Amy Adams deserved her Golden Globe Award for her performance as Margaret, who, in spite of the manipulations of her con-artist husband (Christoph Waltz -playing his role with characteristic gusto) changes from a housewife doormat to a fully empowered, confident woman. One of Tim Burton's more accessible movies, it reminds me of Ed Wood (whose untalented main character, soldiers on producing his movies with great enthusiasm) Quite satisfactory. Although I thought the saucer-eyed waifs of the paintings were a tad creepy.
