There is no question that the music in this movie is great, however, I found it to be a bit slow and it never really hooked me into any emotional ride. Whoever did the research for the film was out of whack. The 45 spindle didn't come out until 1959 and yet Leonard Chess's (Adrian Brody) character in the movie is erecting a disc in front of his studio with the spindle in 1952. Chuck Berry's entrance and debut song on the radio in 1955 in the film is No Particular Place to Go and Nadine, both of which came out in 1964. This film is not accurate in many parts and doesn't grab you into any particular story line but for those who dig Rock 'n' Roll music and rhythm and blues, then it's cool to listen to those tunes especially Beyonce who portrays Etta James and does not a bad job acting.
