    Cecil B. DeMille: American Epic

    Reviewed by

An overview of director De Mille with commentary by famed directors, stars who were directed by him and by his niece Agnes De Mille, the choreographer... De Mille was an epic film maker, but one with very little nuance, big budget movies like Samson and Dalilah, The Greatest Show on Earth ( 1952 ridiculous choice as Best Oscar Film of the year )The Ten Commandments, The Buccaneer etc. with no thought to strict dramatic principles, character development and plotlines that go on 'ad infinitum'. He was more a showman than a great director!
