    Chappie

I think this one is a disaster. The music was great, though. The special effects were fantastic. It starts out like it's going to be an unbelievable ride, but then Jar Jar Binks's. What a train-wreck. Sigourney is barely in it and Jackman is only a side character, too, but they are billed as its stars, which they are not. Some bad acting by the "maker", and it's hard to watch the over-the-top gangster routine, that gets old fast. It takes way too long to jump back from one plot to another, so I've almost forgotten the other plot-lines by then. The biggest problem with the movie was that the main character, the robot, was so incredibly annoying that it was almost unbearable to watch; it's a child in a robot. I'm not sure how you feel about watching a child-robot run around pretending to be a gangster and whining the whole time, but I felt like I could have done without. Avoid.
