Lately when I go to view a Kevin Kostner project, I anticipate an entertainment. Films that stand on reliable precepts, and hold their own.
Well made, aptly chosen cast, good pace, resolving story and a high reward of escapism.
Kostner is often self producing, which means he's driving his own money.
Film has many roles in society, but I feel his work hits the nail on the essentials.
Criminal is decent film, you can get into it, it pushes some buttons, has thought provoking moments and character realizations well wrought.
The cast is high rent, good work by all. I thought Gary Oldman OK, but Tommy Lee Jones spot on. Ryan Reynolds effective, if not distinquished.
Jordi Molla, cooly psychotic enough.
Gal Gadot and Lara Decaro did good work, appropriate to their roles.
The moon, the stars in film craft experience, not really.
Want a diverting entertainment for a couple of hours, on an evening out. Bang on.
