Is DIVERGENT the poor man's Hunger Games? No matter! It's no different than other futuristic fare, science fiction junk or fearless heroes (male and female), all archetypal: predictable plot, very bland art and set decoration and a nice touch of romance... be careful... just a hint of it... all conforming to world teen formula pictures. And this absurd allegory we get from Divergent not to worry if you're a teen and don't fit in? This is all such old rubbish. Enough, already! (And to think there will possibly be two more such films.) Some day in the great beyond we just might be lucky enough to get stories about young adults who are truly mature beyond their years... and leading a satisfying life! OVER and OUT!
