A great frontiers film at the time of revolutionary America as the Mohawk Tribe is consistently on the warpath laying waste to much and many. Especially appealing because of stars Henry Fonda and Claudette Colbert two very likable roles as farm people. The great Edna May Oliver cheers things up despite the gloomy, struggling life of the settlers in the Mohawk Valley. A lively, action packed pre-western. Must have been a real treat in 1939.
