    Gentleman's Agreement

    Reviewed by

Best Picture of 1947 along with Best Supporting Actress, Celeste Holm, Best Director for Elia Kazan and more Oscars, this tiny gem is a great start at tackling big problems in film from 20th Century Fox. The whole issue of anti-semitism is explored in a way never before seen at the movies. For those who think the envelope is not pushed far enough, one should keep in mind that this was the very first film to tackle the problem of being a Jew head on. What the film accomplishes is more than enough!
