Highly emotional but gentle doc about 60s and 70s country crossover recording artist Glen Campbell's struggles with Alzheimer's is touching, poignant but inspiring. There is much to say about this amazingly candid film which places a human face (on Alzheimer's disease)of a much loved entertainer known for "Wichitaw Lineman"and "Rhinestine Cowboy: and many others. He made appearances in movies (True Grit with John Wayne) and hosted his own tv variety show. This remarkable film chronicles his last tour (113 stops! Over 1 1/2 years!) with the support of his amazing, courageous 4th wife, 3 of his children and friends. It was a heartfelt moment when he played "Dueling Banjos" with his beautiful daughter, Ashley. Unfortunately, as time wore on, we witness Campbell's gradual decline as he began to forget the chords, changes in tempo and ultimately the names of his band members (including his childrens') He was an original member of the Wrecking Crew (great, legendary LA sideman, who were celebrated in an earlier doc.) It was a fitting finale when he recorded his last song"Not Gonna Miss You" (dedicated to his wife and Oscar nominated) with his old crew. A highly recommended documentary.
