    Godspell

This adaptation of the great musical Godspell disappointed me on a pretty profound level... not because of the music but because it was filmed during that whole era of flower power and flower children which makes it all look so archaic. This story of Christ and his disciples in make-up and costumes from the 70's turned me off a great deal. I simply could not look at the ridiculous spectacle before my eyes. This is a great lesson in not being ultra trendy when making a film, or for that matter, with anything in life. Godspell never stands the test of time. If anything it looks like some bizarre side show one wants to avoid at all costs! I could not sit till the ending despite the great music!
