Gravity is yet another example of Hollywood destroying a fantastic 'what if' situation with poor exposition. You don't need big name stars to carry a conflict like this. How this movie was so acclaimed is beyond me and I'm not alone thanks to some other reviews here. Clooney smirking thru bad dialogue is great for Oceans 11 and Bullock shreaking and whimpering is great for Speed, but using those traits here just shattered any suspension of disbelief created by some amazing special effects. Clooney saying things like "let's float over to the Soyuz to drink some Russian vodka"... geez, or when Bullock is trying decipher the control panel to detach for reentry to save her skin, she like "eenie meenie miney mo"... geez, really? She's the astronaut trained to think clearly under pressure! Just ridiculous. Kubrick's 2001: A Space Odyssey made in 1968 is still the benchmark for this type of movie.
