THIS FILM IS AN OUTRAGE, one that is diabolically bad and perverse with a tone that is malicious throughout. WHY CAN'T HOLLYWOOD NERDS LEAVE BELOVED FAIRY TALES ALONE? America is the only nation in the world to create these monstrosities that fall under the name of FILM. When the film was originally released, I noticed the premise, I refused to see it and pay good money for nothing but "crappola." Now I took a gander at the film borrowing the DVD of a friend who called it BLASPHEMY. Where to start!? The film as evidenced on the silver screen is a gory piece of messy business that can never be undone, an over the top ride in every possible way without a single redeeming quality. It actually is a very sickening movie, which is possibly its best point. The excessive violence is all gratuitous which makes H and G: Witch Hunters all the more hateful. As the action unfolds into a twisted, ridiculous sense of the putrid, it's quite impossible to believe or sense the origins of the film. It becomes too unbelievable for anyone with half a brain but more it's just plain silly a good deal of the time which most fools buy so willingly. One fact blasted my mind that JEREMY RENNER would take this piece of junk as I consider him quite a respectable, Oscar nominated actor who has done much fine work since THE HURT LOCKER. He is a super performer when a good script and director is at hand, something lacking in this Which Hunters disaster. I refuse to go into all the absurd nonsense of the film, but something quite glaring seems to be that the conclusion of this film lies in NO MAN'S LAND, meaning that it all doesn't quite add up as witches are supposed to have powers to create havoc. I might have missed something along the way, but as it presently stands in my mind it is nothing but POPPYCOCK, BOLDERDASH, HORSEFEATHERS and all the rubbish I can throw at it! Writing in this rather serious vein, I consider this film a CRIME against humanity!
