I'll See You in my Dreams, about love and life in one's senior years, is clearly aimed at an older audience. I guess I'm not old enough, as it didn't really work for me. Possibly because the romance between Blythe Danner and Sam Elliot didn't really light up the screen. More likely, the inconsistent dialogue and rambling screenplay was the problem. For example, the scene where the 4 ladies get stoned and then go out for munchies was just so contrived. The actors were well cast and performed admirably, but the movie still failed in so many ways. It will appeal to a limited older audience, but for most movie goers, it will surely disappoint.
