    In Old Arizona

In Old Arizona from 1928, the OSCAR WINNING film following BROADWAY MELODY is just too old and rickety for true enjoyment. Sound and camera techniques were not at all perfected at this early stage so it's a matter of adjusting to the whole new process of that era or do not watch. Warner Baxter as THE CISCO KID, my God, won A LEAD OSCAR of the year in a performance that is almost laughable today. However, in the spirit of the history of "classic" films, I am rarely disappointed, so appreciative of the new things I learn. However, this is not the classic it claims. I have to rate it as I see and feel the experience! The 3 is for what they were able to accomplish just a year after sound was introduced.
