    La Vie en rose

If not a very great movie, this is a very fine one with one of the greatest performances captured for the cinéma by way of Marion Cotillard as Edith Piaf! Knowing a good deal of Piaf and her music only enriched my experience in watching the film, noting the unbelievable transformation of Miss Cotillard from a young woman to a broken down wreck at just 48 years of age. The film was a sad, harrowing journey of Franc'e greatest popular singer of all time. I must repeat how glorious the Cotillard performance is in every sense of that word! I simply loved this film!
