The acting was mostly quite good, especially that of the principal characters, but other than that this was a waste of two hours' time and the price of admission. There was NO suspense, no cinematic horror (just tedious murder scenes) and the one bit of CGI special effects was so badly done as to be downright comical. The best summation of the movie comes from the script itself when the little vampire girl tells the boy she is seducing that," I am nothing." Indeed. If you like Stephen King novels and movies you might like this one; me, I hate both so I rate it 2/10.

What are you jabbering on about? The acting was good you say but you gave it a 2/10? The script was much better than the usual crap we see and there certainly was lots of suspense. I am not sure what cinematic horror is but it sounds complicated. The movie was not about special effects but something you may not have heard about before; great acting and a great story. You should go watch Avatar if you want special effects. The storyline in Avatar was god awful (stolen from Pocahontas) but the eye candy special effects in that movie are beyond compare. I myself prefer a good story to simply a pretty picture show.

You obviously don't have any idea what the word "suspense" means; you have confused it with "tedium". I agree that it wasn't "the usual crap" as you so eloquently put it: it was different crap. Something YOU may not have encountered before is "a great story"; otherwise you wouldn't confuse this tiresome, drawn out boredom fest with one. I agree about Avatar, but I don't believe you would know a well-written, well-directed, suspenseful story if you saw one. So let me suggest a few: Signs Sixth Sense Blade Runner Pitch Black I suggest reading the works of Harlan Ellison, Philip K. Dick, and John Wyndham as well as Andrew Klavan's early works (from the 90s) These will act as an antidote to Stephen King & company.
