I am definitely not a Gerard Butler fan. I never really got the feeling that I understood what drove Sam to do this (undertake the life he did) It's like the filmakers glossed over it for some reason. Thus some significant gaps in the back story. I did however like how the character came around 360 degrees back to his psychopathic self at the end. We can truly become obsessed with an idea when we begin to help a cause, especially the big ones frought with injustices that one man could never conquer. That could have been displayed even more. Not enough development for my taste. Still not a bad movie and the 2 hr+ went by quickly. Interesting nonetheless.
