Magician: The Astonishing Life and Work of Orson Welles

This is an absolute must for any film or theatre buff. There was no real need to see this doc as I am up to my eyeballs in everything Welles, but for me this was an event. It covers everything in amazing style from even before Citizen Kane right through to great art films that unfortunately were not commercially successful. The one thing that saddens me is that the genius Welles often had to take menial acting jobs just to pay the bills. He is truly one of the greats, a "WUNDERKIND" even before his 20th birthday. Mr. Welles so deserved the LIFETIME ACHIEVEMENT AWARD in FILM from the American Film Institute, the topmost honour in motion pictures!
