Took the plunge, on a summer day. Theatre was packed with attentive young folk, who seemed to enjoy it. Not overly adult, upbeat and easy to follow, although a little thin on theme development. Generally pretty good, Angelina Jolie worked the title role well, and looked right, inhabiting it. Twist on traditional story, was creative, and respectable. The supporting cast aging through accent changes, but worthy enough. Better use of CG than in most films, among the best, and the design of the fantasy folk, pretty good if a stretch in cases. My demerit comes from an over the top grand struggle scene, too dark, not well choreographed, audio-effects and score all over-amped on level "eleven" Murky, disjointed bombast. Minor classic for a new generation. Could see this being replayed over time, easily.
