    My Darling Clementine

My Darling Clementine from 1946 is a good Western, part of John Ford's Cavalry trilogy. Here we have the re-unification of Wyatt Earp and the tubucular Doc Holliday. Starring Henry Fonda, The gorgeous Linda Darnell who died so young and Victor Mature, Director John Ford captures the movie beautifully. He was just a natural at shooting outdoors knowing exactly when to have the camera rolling thus creating a number of scenic shots that are brilliant, so iconic! I have one more movie, Fort Apache to complete the Cavalry trilogy. 4 time Oscar winning Director Ford was a cantankerous " so and so " but all his stars loved him, using the stable of stars he built movie after movie. He was the first recipient of the now prestigious AFI Award for lifetime achievement I would estimate in about 1972.
