    Paris, Texas

As a teen I saw Paris, Texas and I suppose I didn't really get it. O. K. Harry Dean Stanton is somewhat of an icon, I will admit, though re-seeing the film didn't change my mind one bit about the bad memories I first had with this debacle of a movie. I get it now, but it's still boring as oh hell and one rotter of a film way over-rated. The efforts of Travis (Stanton) seem to express a type of existential emptiness that bothers me to this day. The entire film is a sluggish, irritating affair. I walked out of the theatre as a teen and could not watch the whole film all these years later. One of the worst movies I have ever seen. At 2 1/2 hours Paris, Texas is deadly! Wim Wenders and ' MOI ' just don't mix well! The only other film I hate as much is the obnoxious musings of BRAZIL, a way over-the-top film that deserves not one bit of attention.
