    Paul Blart: Mall Cop 2

I do wish Cinema Clock will soon be ridding us of this ridiculous Paul Blart advertising with which we have to contend or other future such annoyances. Friends and I saw the film without forking over a cent as my best buddy is a theatre manager. Otherwise, NO WAY JOSE! It was therapeutic to be laughing AT THE FILM as I do with these freebies of the feeble-minded kind. Why go? I want to experience the whole spectrum of cinema for the experience of having a total and complete movie data base in my mind. My knowledge extends from silent movies to today's films. With much reading, research, viewing films from all generations, all a lot of rewarding work, it has paid off as I have a great post at U of T on Film even though my teaching area is French Literature.

I know the audience, especially the small fry, enjoyed the film, but it doesn't change the fact that this farce is SO, SO bad. It was almost too pathetic to watch up to about the half way point, then a few laughs crept in. I will keep my record intact as this sort of film is beneath contempt for anyone with half a brain. Sorry, but that is how I am wired!

Great review! Probably the smartest one for this film out of the rest.

Thank You RyanK. It is refreshing to hear from a younger person who has some sense of what is wrong with cinema today. I'm 37 and have been a total addict to film since a young kid. I hope you keep on loving film but rooting out the "junk" that besets us today. Never be reluctant to express your exact feelings on a feature even though the majority of film goers can't distinguish a true classic from what is abysmal. In my 20's I wrote professional reviews for some time till I received my full post at U of T. Good luck buddy, Thanks for the note! I get a lot of replies from older folk, but as said, this is unique as it comes from one so young. It would seem to me that you are going to be a discerning adult. Pete.

If you are waiting for a good movie to come out, don't hold your breath those are few and very very far between. All movies now a days are complete garbage but we keep paying to go hoping we might luck out.
