Petals to the wind is a psychological drama which really is a follow up to Flowers in the Attic, the biggest star being GOLDEN GLOBE NOMINEE Ellen Burstyn as the grandmother. It's an intriguing piece but you really have to have the stomach for it with all the sordid mess of the Dollanganger family which includes abuse, cruelty and INCEST. Flowers in the Attic starts it all off, and though the producers take some liberties, Petals on the wind continues the tale. This is definitely a film that many would not want to see though the earlier novels ( from the 80's ) were all smash best sellers. I guess people don't mind reading of sordid matters but it's another thing to view them!
