    Selma

Female director Ava DuVernay, her first film, deserves a lot of love and most of the plaudits for re-creating the historical vision of MARTIN. Even those of us 40 and under understand the significance of this great march. She obviously prepared for the film with great diligence. David Oyelowo is so damn good as Dr. King and should be on the Oscar Best Actor list instead of Bradley Cooper who is nominated every year no matter what he does. The Oscar nominated song Amen from the film is a rousing tribute and testament to the entire movement. The film was ignored by almost every Critics Group, the Golden Globes, SAG and more, but the Oscars did the right thing with the one exception of leaving Mr. Oyelowo out in the cold.
