I have no idea who is reviewing this movie but they have no idea what a movie on the old west should be. The spaghetti westerns of the 70's are masterpieces compared to this one.
The scenery alternates from forest to mountains to desert to flat plain to scrub brush forest to mountain pass to desert again in every other scene. The characters are wooden stereotypes with little interesting dialog. Flashbacks inject hardly anything to the story except at the end why the love of his life and father had to leave Scotland. The last segment which is a gun fight in a brand new farmhouse, built in the middle of a waterless plain with grain stalks about 4 feet high (enough to hide a man... as if that scenaro is real!!!) was nothing but a bloodletting...
It is not a long movie but it seemed like it was going on for ages. I was sucked in by the reviews on this site... hopefully my review will balance them.
