I had high expectations for this movie but then again they stamped a G rating on the movie. The story was well interpreted, even though the movie should not be 2 hours long; it dragged quite a few times. I had some reluctancy toward the lead character for she played in Twilight and she is not that great of an actor, but in this movie she made me feel like Jennifer Conelly made me feel in Labyrinth 22 years ago, meaning she was good. What I didn't like was the length and the lack of action (fights). Having a G rating, the action was OK but it was nothing great. Quite a few times I was wondering if I was watching Willow. Other times it felt like I was watching the Lord of the Ring. The movie was ok but it is not the kind of movie that will leave a print in your memory. It is the kind of movie you forget about because it brings NOTHING new to the genre, and by that I mean nothing at all. I also expected the queen to be a little more evil, which was a disappointment. I did enjoy my evening, but it's not a movie I'll want to see twice in my life, not even ten years from now.
