As a devoted fan of the original Star Trek, I was absolutely delighted with this latest Star Trek film. Bringing many previous Star Trek "experiences"and a sound knowledge of the characters, plots and vocabulary truly enhances the audience enjoyment. You "get" the jokes, indeed, you eagerly anticipate them and you recognize the characters at once although you've never seen them portrayed by these actors before with the exception of course, of Leonard Nemoy as the first Mr. Spock. His participation lent an otherwise unachievable level of authenticity. The music was exciting and dynamic especially in the frequent action/adventure scenes and I loved it that the original Star Trek sound track was used with the credits. Gene Roddenberry and Majel Barrett would be so proud.
