Intriguing plot which tries to stay true to the roots of Star Wars. The special effects are first rate. Good to see many of the old characters from the original Star Wars trilogy returning to the big screen. Han Solo (Harrison Ford) and Chewbacca (Peter Mayhew/ Joonas Suotamo) definitely steal the show. Note also the new character BB-8 is a welcomed addition. However, I must say despite all the hype surrounding this film, it does not live up to the expectations of the original Star Wars trilogy. With exception to BB-8, the average viewer will notice it is hard to connect to most of these new characters. The story overall is also disappointing. This film is definitely not in the same league like Star Wars, Empire Strikes Back, and Return of the Jedi. Nevertheless, this is an entertaining blockbuster worth checking out.
