Terminator Genisys

A lot of critics seem to be bashing this movie, and I don't get it at all. While I'd agree it's not quite a masterpiece, anybody who liked T1 and T2 will like this movie a lot. It's definitely making me forget how awful the third and fourth Terminator movies were.

Emilia Clarke and J'ai Courtney may not be the greatest teamup as Kyle Reese and Sarah Connor, but they do an honest job in their roles and aren't at all disappointing... particularly Clarke. But the person that holds this movie together is Arnold Schwarzenegger. He is absolutely authoritative as the good-guy Terminator, great in the action scenes and perfect in the deadpan delivery of some of the movies best and funniest lines. In fact, all the action scenes are good, and the movie's pacing is masterful... lots of great action, yet enough breaks to let you catch your breath.

I would have to admit the plot is a little confusing, and if you aren't familiar with the first two Terminator movies, it may not make much sense at all. But it's fun... a lot of fun. I liked this movie as much as Guardians of the Galaxy, more than The Avengers 2 and a lot more than Mad Max-Fury Road. If you have the least suspicion you'd like this movie... see it. You won't be disappointed.
