    The Art of Getting By

    Reviewed by

Two misfits of sorts trying to discover who they are are, ( a brilliant Freddie Highmore ( Bates Motel ) with Emma Roberts as the beautiful, melancholic teenage girl ) come to form some sort of bond in this late teen coming of age film, their lives so fraught with problems. No matter what has happened or is happening, life's inevitable hand has its way of shredding or reshaping everything. Something I adored about this film is that New York City truly becomes another character. If one knows the city, and I know it very well, it's a treat to see locations, landmarks or even simple neighbourhoods one has seen many times over. As said Mr. Highmore is a standout, so effortlessly talented.
