Anne Hathaway evolution from free spirit to a fashion slave particularly to the Devil, devoid herself of any ego to be able to conform, adapt and survive in this new surprising reality she's got herself into, which reality changes itself all the time like a chameleon making everything look frantic and chaotic. In screen presence even though she is not the very powerful main character, Hathaway conquers Evil by herself and then leaves hell before she gets burnt. Brilliant performances by Meryl Streep, Stanley Tucci, Emily Blunt From ("My Last Summer of Love"), and of course Anne Hathaway, the new Jennifer Connelly but lighter and less gloomy. She dances her way in and out in an effortless performance, a true natural. It is also about a love story and strong values. Loyalty is of the essence. Betrayal too.
