I must start off by stating I am a bi-polar man in my late 30's. The importance of this revelation is that the protagonist or antagonist of this film, take your choice, is a bi polar man who goes to sea on a voyage with his lady love. Nothing else can be said or the film will not be worth seeing. However, I will add emphatically that bi-polarism is nothing at all like being "schizo". One is always aware of one's actions but the extremes either of elation or misery of a hellish kind linger within a person until the chemical imbalance in the brain settles down for a time before it hits again with a vengeance. THIS IS IMPORTANT to know as one will struggle to understand the entire nature of this well-executed film!
