To say this movie was depressing is an understatement. What is wrong with people who like this? They must enjoy watching children die and misery piled upon misery. The world is nuts!

Thank you! That's what I forgot to include in my review - writing books / making movies about kids killing kids is just wrong.
Teenagers get gutted and have their throats slit in horror movies and you're complaining about this...
The point of this movie is to make a statement about society. The author nor the filmakers are saying this is right, and that kids should be encouraged to watch this. If you read the books, ESPECIALLY the second one which is the best one with the best statements by far, you would understand. I also don't like how you accuse people who go to see this movie of enjoying watching children die. You think the audience is enjoying the brutal murders? Perhaps the ones of a sick mind are, but I know I didn't, and if you read other reviews, you will see many others didn't either, even if they don't say it. And yet, I still enjoyed the movie because it sends a message that obviously you weren't able to grasp.
