The third movie of the Hunger Games series is entertaining and much better than I thought it would be. Usually, sequels tend to be disappointing but this movie serves as a good bridge between the second and fourth films. The plot unfolds slowly but appropriately and there is plenty of action at the right times. However, I have found the acting in the whole Hunger Games series somewhat average and the characters hard to empathize for. Of course, a point of debate also exists if Mocking Jay Parts I and II could have been put all in one movie? Was separating Parts I and II to maximize the depth of the storytelling or simply to make more money at the box office? Or both? Decent film overall.
