One week ago I was in the movie theater watching How Do You Know (reviewed) Talk about contrasts! It was so good to see Geoffrey Rush again. This guy never disappoints. Colin Firth was excellent also. It's a slow movie, all in nuances and finesse and it never becomes too melodramatic or complacent. In some of the secondary roles I would have chosen other better suited actors for the roles (Churchill and George IV's wife) and that is the only reason why I give it an 8 instead of a 9. The King's Speech is one of the few movies who doesn't take movie goers for idiots like a lot of the inane stuff that is massed manufactured these days.
