    The Loft

With some of my VERY favourite actors of today: James Marsden, Wentworth Miller, Mattias Schoenaerts ( from Belgium) and Karl Urban, this was not going to be a movie to miss. This mystery/thriller is loaded with sex, violence and bad language so take note if these "little" matters bother your sensibilities. The plot is pretty ingenious, that I will admit, but director Van Looy fails in getting top performances from the gentlemen as well as the ladies whom I hardly know. I found it odd that the actors are so well known while the women are on a totally different playing field. Then it hit me that this was a co-production between the U. S. and Belgium. Hence, the European female talent pool! If the acting had been more solid... an 8.
