The Prime of Miss Jean Brodie

As glorious a movie as you will ever see with Dame Maggie Smith winning an Oscar as a very advanced thinking teacher in the Scotland of the 1930's. Dame Maggie was gorgeous. It is such a superb performance that words could never do her work justice. Please see this film. It is one of the best films I've ever seen. If you follow Downton Abbey, you can see 78 year old Maggie, but, of course, she is nothing like her Downton character in real life. Dame Maggie went on to win another Oscar in the 70's for California Suite.
